This song was inspired by the concept of "shadow work," which is essentially the process of facing one's own dark side. In order to do this, we must first acknowledge that the qualities we most despise in others, are actually our own shadow-self being mirrored back to us.

It is only by consciously illuminating the hidden mechanisms of the subconscious mind, that we can liberate ourselves from limiting beliefs and stagnating behavioral patterns... and finally move towards Love.
